An Earthquake measuring 8.9 on the Richter Scale shook Japan for 5 minutes last week.

The resulting Tsunami mercilessly attacked the island nation.  Further aftershocks keep the residents sleepless and in fear.

Images of floating vehicles, collapsed houses and debris filled streets, continue to fill my Television.

As we watch the devastation, we feel helpless just sitting here at the Top 7.  But there are ways that we can help.

Here is a list of 7 ways to help with disaster relief.

1.  Donate

Give to a reputable relief agency who has access to the area.

2.  Volunteer

Volunteers are the back bone of relief help. You can assist with getting / sorting supplies locally or you can plan a future volunteer trip to the region.

3.  Lobby Your Government

Successful international aid requires support from all levels of government across the world.

4.  Stay Informed

One disaster often leads to other disasters (Haiti had the earthquake, then food shortages, then disease).

5.  Tell Others

When people know about disasters, they are more willing to help.

6.  Comfort the Hurting

Even a disaster happens across the world, chances are that somebody you know has loved ones who are affected.  Comfort them.

7.  Pray

Ask God to help in ways that Man cannot.

What are you doing to help the victims of the Japan Earthquake?
