Today is a special day.  It is not my birthday or my anniversary.  It is not the day I change my underwear or shower.  This is much more important.

Today is the day we head as a family to Calaway Park in Calgary, Alberta.

Every summer Jeff and I load up our families and make an annual pilgrimage to Southern Alberta’s best Theme Park.  It has become somewhat of a tradition for us.  Pack a lunch.  Chase the kids.  Ride the rides.  Get sick on the rides.  Have a water fight.

All that normal stuff.

The 160 acre Calaway Park opened in 1982 under a Flintstone Theme.  Today the park has 32 rides for your enjoyment including 2 roller coasters and 3 water rides.  It may be a small park but is a fun family destination.

Here is a video I took one of our past Calaway Park Adventures
